Patient Reviews

25 Years And Still Going Michael S.- May 24, 2018 It has been a rather interesting orthopedic encounter with Dr. Murphy over my years. After 2 knee replacements, 1 hip replacement, and both elbow surgeries, it has proven to be all worth it. Oh, how could I forget, 4 shoulder operations. My friends are beginning to call me the BIONIC man. Whenever needed, my wife could talk with him after one of my encounters. I went for an appointment one day and left because I felt I had waited long enough. Well that night around 7:30 pm the phone rang, no kidding, it was Dr. Murphy calling to apologize!!! He is a rather deeply caring surgeon and I am fortunate to have had his care. Well, you know, 9 times makes one think that may be all. Thank you Dr. Murphy for all the help! Knee Replacement Donna E.- April 4, 2015 It has been over 4 years since surgery and recouped extremely well. Thank You Dr. Murphy Donald M.- August 18, 2014 Dr. Murphy asked if I would post a review comparing recovery, etc. between the total left knee replacement that he performed in 2/3/04 and the right knee he performed on 5/22/13.  Really no comparison, the right knee which involved a less invasive incision through  the quadriceps was considerably easier. Still no picnic, but easier, especially considering that I am 69 now; that is remarkable. I had considerably more movement after I got out of the hospital. I took limited pain meds in the hospital , and only occasionally after I got home, if I had some difficulty sleeping.  (haven't had any for about a month )  Granted I do have a fairly high pain tolerance but still! Also for the 2005 procedure I had a spinal morphine drip for a while, but none for the procedure this year.  Rehab has gone well, and I am really back to full function, as of the date of this review. Dr, Murphy has been my Orthopaedic  Surgeon since 1998. (scoped my left knee) Other than the knees, he did my rotator cuff in my right shoulder in 2011. Also a knee scope on my wife Elizabeth and also repaired a fractured ankle she had. All of his work has been just excellent! Thank you Dr. Murphy for many procedures that were well done! I also enjoy your personality!
